The Lake County Resource Guide for Mental Illness and Other Neurobiological Brain Disorders was published in March 2001. The booklet is a resource guide to information and services for the individuals suffering from depression, schizophrenia, and other neurobiological brain disorders. The guide has been compiled by members of NAMI of Lake County. NAMI of Lake County has tried to provide information on as many organizations as practical. Please double-check information for yourself as it changes frequently. Listing of an organization DOES NOT imply that NAMI of Lake County recommends their services. Hospitals and physician referrals from the NAMI of Lake County office reflects the opinions of individual members and not necessarily the organization as a whole. For information about resources in the adjoining counties, please contact the appropriate chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill as listed by NAMI Illinois or NAMI National. A neurobiological brain disorder is a difficult problem with no easy solutions. We hope this resource guide provides practical information and helps you cope.
